Everybody’s got a pretty competitive product out there that they can essentially get to the same price either way. At that point, it all comes down to service, who you want to talk to and who you want to deal with.

David Rigo’s Story

David Rigo is a local Columbus entrepreneur who has been a client with the Combs Agency for some time now. He got to know Chris Combs when he was younger, and chooses to have Chris by his side to this day.

“Chris has been a long-time friend, he coached me when I was in baseball when I was a youngster. It’s kind of crazy that it’s come full circle and we’re clients now. Chris has always been great to work with, he’s probably one of the more honest people I’ve ever met in my life. It definitely comes through in his customer service”

Rigo was not always as involved with the agency to the extent he is today, but the service Chris and his team provided pushed him to work with them even more.

“It started off with a little bit of business, and its grown to switching most of our insurance. Pretty much everything he covers he does for us. It’s been great working with him, if he ever does make a mistake he holds up his end of the bargain and makes sure that he gets stuff corrected and he’s really quick to respond. Just everything you ever wanted in an insurance guy.”

Rigo knows that with insurance, it’s not something you’re going to need help with every day. Normally it’s a rare occasion that you need to contact your insurance company, but when you need them, it’s critical that they are available to you.

“With insurance specifically, you don’t need those people often, but when you do need them you need them very quickly, and you need all of them right then and there. Whenever we’ve needed anything, whenever we’ve had questions, he’s on it. You can call him or text him, he’s calling you back within five or ten minutes and usually gets to the bottom of issues pretty quickly. It’s not a dollar symbol with him either, I think you could be a really big account to him or a really small account, and he treats you like some big customer that’s paying a bunch of his bills. It’s one of those things where he’s pretty responsive to everybody.”

Rigo knows that price can be a determining factor, but that the most important thing is customer service and relations. That’s where he believes the Combs Agency comes out on top every time.

He’s someone that knows your kid’s names, he knows what you’re all about, he’s genuinely interested. It’s more of a relationship thing and personal touch than anything else. If I’m going to do business, I’m going to do it with someone I like, and I really like Chris. It’s really easy to do business with that type of person.”
